BECG (Brain & Ecology Comparative Group) is an independent biological theoretical research team, which devoting to the third synthesis of biology, namely new theoretical development of Physiological Darwinism and her application in neurobiology and other biological fields. She comprises of scientists in full time and part-time from ecology, medicine, economy, zoology, botany, evolutionary biology, etc.
 
The basic theory and research direction of BECG originated from two forepart studies: biosphere evolutionary ecology and brain evolutionary ecology.
 
From 1987 to 1994, Winpen Han systematically firstly compared the evolutions of the biologic resource strategy and the economic mode of organism in his research of evolutionary ecology of biosphere. One of the emphases is about large scale ecological system economics and the evolution of ecological strategy mode of human resources. This research firstly tried to explain the ecological principles of economic issue from the angle of adaptive theory and brings economic phenomena into the category of biology completely in the concept. Part of applied content of the research report which theme is On Greency was submitted in 1992 and acquired the Acad. Award.
 
From 1999 to 2006, Winpen Han, Haina Hua co-researched on the compare of evolutionary ecology of biological information system and the emphasis was the problem of physiological ecology of animal nerve evolution. Parts of theoretical contents of the research which themes are Four Main Plight of Brain Science Research: Reflection and Review, Evolutionary Neuroecology: Serial Lecture (14 lectures). In the Lectures, the concept of nerval ecological strategy and the problem of animal nerval ecological coding were put forward firstly; especially the concept of neo-adaptationism biology was brought forward firstly.
 
From 2001 to 2005, Winpen Han, Haina Hua regarded neo-adaptationism biology as particular theoretical project and carried through special information search and data research. In 2005, after collection and summary systematically, they put firstly forward the concept of the diversity comparation of intraspecific adaptation and made clear that this concept is the basic character of neo-adaptationism biology. From 2005 to 2008, the Research Group expanded the data and information research and rebuilt the concept system. From 2008 to 2009, BECG publicized part of the new theory and the themes are the Era of Neo-Adaptationism Biology is Coming, Deep Structure of Being: Its Concepts, Origin and Trend. Here put forward firstly the concepts of Deep Structure of Being and the Third Synthesis of Biology which are brand-new abstract of this new theory of biology.
 
BECG(Brain & Ecology Comparative Group) grows up and develops in exploration of above three research directions. At present, BECG has already had three medium-and-long-term research programs acquired support by the fund. They are "Experimental System of Intraspecific Comparative Research and its new theoretical synthesis", "Analysis Methods of Nerval Ecological Strategy and Meaning Coding System of Nerve", "Evolution of Resource Ecological Strategy of Organism and large scale Ecological System Economics". Among them, the former is related to the basic theoretical problem of Deep Structure of Being, the latter two touches upon the applied research of it. The others cooperation research programs of applied fields is consulting and evaluating.
 
Recently 20 years, neo-adaptationism just is developing and converging into a surging great river from trickling rivulets of originating independent experimental subjects. BECG has formally propounded that this science trend should be determined the nature as "Physiological Darwinism", or "The Third Synthesis of Biology". The ideality and target of BECG is under the basis of new experimental evidences of neo-adaptationism, realize and complete the new synthesis of Darwin paradigms and comparative experiment of intraspecific adaptation, namely Deep Structure Biology and its new experimental methods. At the same time, through applicatively combining this new theory and experimental system with concrete subjects of life science, the great difficult problems could be promoted to be broke through and resolved. For example, Deep structure analysis of large scale brain nerve network, deep structure biology of molecular bio-network, deep structure economics of large scale ecological system, the theoretical application of deep structure in medicine and pathology, and etc.
 
BECG founded the independent cooperation research website in China in 2007(www.brainecology.com), and the English cooperation research website in Feb. 2009(www.brainecology.net). These website are the common stage for the cooperation research of neo-adaptationism theory and deep structure biology. At the same time, BECG set up Lorenz Forum in memory of Konrad Lorenz (http://www.brainecology.net). It is the first theme forum of neo-adaptationism biology. It provides a common advancing front of theoretical synthesis and ideas exchange about each vigorously developing experimental biological branch of comparative studies of intraspecific adaptation.
 
The work of BECG has opened a brand-new door of new biological theory and experiment. In order to effectively promote the cooperation and international intercommunion in the neo-adaptationism brain biology and other applied fields, BECG welcome academicians and experts from all kinds of biological fields, medicine, economics and other applied subjects to join together the research programs. The manner of cooperation can be multiform for the interest of exerting the speciality and resource advantage of every participant and their organizations. And it will be perfectly esteem that the collaborators can keep their individual views and personal requirements.

Wenping Hann, born in 1962, was the presider of the original Brain & Ecology Comparative Group. He is the lead author of the works of "On the Deep Structure of Being" and "The Development of Neo-adaptationistic Biology". At present he is the convener and organizer of the new Brain & Ecology Deep Structure (International) Lab.
 
In the early stage, he engaged in the research and teaching of ecology and economics, was the world's earliest researcher in the comparative study of the evolutionary ecology of biological resources strategy and its economic model. Early in 1992, he had published in Chinese "On the Green Currency: The Monetary Base of Ecological Economics" and acquired an institute's award in 1993. This article was an important applied report of economic tools based on the theory of the biological resources strategy and economic model. The paper predicted the emergence of new economic tools such as "Cap-and-Trade" and "Climate Exchange" 12 year ahead of time.
 
In the study period of BECG and in cooperation with Haina Hwa and others, he has brought forward new concepts or new theories such as Comparative Study of Intraspecific Adaptation, Brain & Ecology Comparative Research, Neural Ecological Coding, Deep Structure of Being, Brain Deep Structural Analysis, Economic Deep Structural Analysis, Deep Structural Analysis of Biological Networks, Lorentz's Physiology Ideas, Neo-Adaptationistic Biology, Physiological Darwinism, the Third New Synthesis of Biology, Systate Theory, New Experimental Analysis System about the Deep Structure of Life. Especially in the theory of Deep-Structure Brain (DSB) and the research of Deep-Structure Computer (DSC), has acquired the major breakthrough.
 
The new lab is expected to move towards the far-ranging international united development, and it has been placed high hopes on the experimental application of the deep structure theory and the innovation of the deep structure system simulation technology.
